End of Life Care

Hospice is defined as “a caring environment for meeting the needs of the terminally ill”.  At Pets’ Request, we believe that our beloved pets are just as deserving of hospice care as are terminally ill people.  Dr. Burnett is a member of the International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, an organization that promotes “knowledge of, and developing guidelines for, comfort-oriented care to companion animals as they approach the end of life.”  We work with owners and caregivers to keep the pet’s quality of life as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

When it’s time to say goodbye to pets that have been part of our families for any amount of time, being able to say goodbye at home is very important to us at Pets’ Request.  We believe that being surrounded by family in a familiar place is the best way to go when it’s time.
